Stuck between the feeling of being left behind and being scared of stepping out of your comfort zone? This dilemma is an everyday challenge in your early 20s. Fear is an emotion; it's what makes us human. Do it scared. This statement prompted me to open my laptop and search for an internship application, where I discovered a BPO company called 'Kwanii'. Today, I will reveal how this company changed my perspective on an industry often stereotyped as a toxic environment.
Welcoming Environment
In my onboarding process, I anticipated a serious and intimidating environment where people would ignore me because I was just a newcomer, expecting no contributions and fearing I would add to their workload due to training needs. However, I experienced the opposite. Everyone was approachable and eager to assist, and I received a warm welcome. The superiors were professional yet friendly in demeanor. On my first day, they took the time to get to know me, which confirmed that they fostered a positive company culture.
Get Trained from Advanced Tools and Softwares
I received mentorship training during my first week at Kwanii, where they demonstrated how to use the tools and software in the HR department. Having a hands-on mentor who is always available to assist has been incredibly beneficial. This support system motivates me to work more diligently and efficiently, leveraging the excellent training I've received to consistently deliver my best work. I've come to understand the key to their success; it’s because of their collaborative environment at Kwanii that it significantly contributes to the company's overall efficiency.
They introduced me to the tools and software during my first week of training. I received training and instruction on a variety of professional tasks. I was surprised yet excited about the systems I was about to learn. I realized that I had joined the right company—one that will help me grow as an individual and become more competent in the future.
Learned from Experienced Professionals
Unlike any other company, Kwanii possesses professionals who are not just good at their work but also collaborative with interns. They are approachable and willing to guide when needed. During my first week, I expected them to be intimidating and have no time for newcomers. However, they manage their time so that they always check on us. They are responsive when we need to ask questions about tasks and assignments, which greatly enhances the team's efficiency. This confirms that Kwanii ensures they hire quality employees and create an environment where you can learn.
Trustworthy
When I was applying for an internship, I was scared and uncomfortable. There are a lot of questions that slip my mind. I’m preparing myself for a fast-paced and negative environment because it's a workplace, right? I should expect that all the employees will be working, stressed, and busy. However, upon checking their platforms, I noticed that Kwanii emphasized principles and values, which made me trust their company. In a short period, Kwanii has completely shifted my negative perspectives about working in an industrial setting. I have experienced employee autonomy, supportive leadership, and work-life balance, but the most important thing that they provide for us is employee development.
The bottom line is that I've encountered and experienced all of this because I dared to take my first steps, even in the face of fear. If I can't overcome my fear, I will face it head-on. I want to keep striving for self-improvement. This may sound cliché, but it's the truth. In my first week at Kwanii, I've already experienced how it fosters my growth and personal improvement. It has unlocked my potential, and I'm confident it can do the same for you.
